Women's National Team

Alex Snyder #24

Born and raised in the land of hockey and ehs to the north, Alex was first introduced to Ultimate in grade 10 at which point it was quickly added to her long list of athletic endeavors. Finding ultimate a more than suitable replacement for basketball, her first athletic love, Alex went on to play 5 years for the University of Colorado Boulder women's team, Kali where she captained 3 of those years and helped lead the team to 4 national semifinal appearances. After graduation and a year of enjoying all that Colorado has to offer, Alex headed west to San Francisco to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a chance to play with Fury. Or was it headed west to play with Fury and maybe go to PT school? She has been playing with Fury ever since and is starting her 6th year of captaining the team. Alex has represented the US at the World Games in 2013, the previous 3 WUGCs as well as the previous 2 WUCCs.

Day to day, when not playing, coaching or coordinating all things ultimate, or riding her bike over and around the hills of SF, Alex is a physical therapist specializing in acute geriatric care which involves a lot of winking at elderly people and trying to convince them to get out of bed.
